Our Award Scheme....
What is it and how does it work?
At Infinity we have developed and fine tuned a GfA programme to ensure that sessions are developmental, varied and FUN! We have now developed our very own award scheme that replicates and follows our programme to provide a streamlined, and progressive pathway for ALL our gymnasts to work through.
Our award scheme has three different areas that gymnasts will be assessed in: Fundamentals, Floor Skills and Apparatus. Every term the gymnasts will work on skills in their sessions and their coaches will assess whether they are competent at the level they are working on. Each area has 8 different levels for gymnasts to achieve and work through and each level has 8 skills to complete:
Fundamentals: The basics and core foundations of gymnastics and development. A series of exercises that target fitness, flexibility, strength and co ordination.
Fundamentals will be assessed every Spring Term (approx. Jan-Apr)
Floor Skills: A variety of skills that gymnasts will perform on the floor: a selection of core rolls, handstand and cartwheel skills and progressions of these
Floor Skills will be assessed every Summer Term (approx. May-Aug)
Apparatus: A selection of skills that are performed on/with a piece of equipment or apparatus. Skills may be performed on beam, bars, trampette or vault, or may use smaller equipment such as blocks, bench, ribbons or balls
Apparatus will be assessed every Autumn Term (approx. Sep-Dec)
When gymnasts join Infinity, they will start at a certain level based on their age and they will then progress from this level during their time at Infinity. At the end of the term, you will then be given the option to purchase the certificate and medal that they have achieved over the term.
What is assessed in our Awards?

If your child has not completed a previous award and you are unsure on which level they are currently working on, please WhatsApp us on 07763 185554 or ask us at drop off and we can get this information for you.
